FAQ'S
What's the cost of the average tow?
Towing costs can vary based on distance, vehicle type, and the kind of service required, but most local tows fall within a predictable range. On average, a standard local tow typically starts between $75 and $150, which often includes a base hookup fee and a short distance. After the initial mileage, many towing services charge an additional $3 to $6 per mile, depending on the vehicle and towing method. Larger vehicles, specialty cars, or situations that require flatbed towing or winching may fall on the higher end of that range.
For longer-distance towing, pricing is usually calculated primarily by mileage. Long-haul towing often averages $2.50 to $5 per mile, with the total cost influenced by distance, route planning, and vehicle condition. Accident recovery, non-running vehicles, or hard-to-access locations may add to the overall cost due to additional equipment, labor, or time required to complete the job safely.
